Jim & Sam – Engagement

A few preview shots from the session at The Virginia Aquarium today.  We all had loads of fun and got some great shots, which is easy when you have people that are so much fun and so much in love as these two are.  I’d also love to do more shoots here, as it’s a fantastic place.

Couldn’t resist featuring another happy couple:

Some great backdrops in this location:

It’s That Time Again…

Since everyone seemed to enjoy it the last couple of times, and I continue to be lazy and/or uninspired, we’re going to have our “Name This Photo” contest again!  Same rules apply: free print for the winner and 20% discount for anyone else who takes part.

Your photo is:

Can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

Guess My Name

Not too long ago, I found a couple of older photos that I’d kind of left aside and forgotten about, probably figuring that they weren’t all that great anyway.  On discovery of them again, I changed a couple of things using the gift of Photoshop and decided I liked them after all.

My problem, as usual, is that I’m absolutely terrible at naming my work.  Sometimes it’s obvious and I can be rather literal with it but mostly I struggle to find a title.

I came up with a good solution recently when I posted the first photo: I asked Twitter.  I shall now do so again.  Hopefully you’re reading this because you followed a link from my Twitter or Facebook.  All you need to do now is name this photo:

Hunt For The Loch Ness Monster!

Being from Scotland, I have a particular fondness for Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster.  Over the years, there have been various sightings of her, none which have been very clear but have been enough to fuel speculation.  The first, and possibly most famous, is this one.

Now, given that I’ve left the Old Country behind and moved to the USA, opportunities to visit Loch Ness are obviously limited and therefore so are chances of getting a photo of Nessie.

So, given that the house I live in backs onto a lake, I decided that my best option was to keep an eye out and see if Nessie has an American cousin.  And today I finally got lucky!

So I present to you: my Loch Ness Monster photograph.  I shall now sit back and await the book and movie deal.
